A veces ocurren las casualidades, y eso me ocurrió hace un par de noches mientras hacía un time lapse de la puesta de la luna creciente sobre Cirauqui. Y es que, justo en el momento en que la luna acababa de esconderse tras la iglesia, se apagó la luminaria de la misma. En alguna ocasión se me había ocurrido hablar con el responsable de la iluminación de la Iglesia de San Román de Cirauqui para coordinar que encendiera la luz justo cuando la luna se escondiera tras la iglesia, pero en esta ocasión no llegué a pedirle nada y ocurrió justo lo contrario.
Me dirigí a hacer la foto, presuponiendo que la iglesia mantendría su iluminación todo el tiempo hasta bien escondida la luna. Pero no, se apagó justo en el momento en que la luna se escondía tras la iglesia. Se podría decir que «la luna se llevó la luz de la iglesia con ella«, ¿no?

Some times things just happen, right? That’s what happened to me two nights ago as I was shooting a time lapse of the crescent moon setting over Cirauqui: just at the right moment in which the moon totally hid behind the lit church of the village, the church’s lights went off. I had thought of talking to who ever was responsible for the lighting of the church in order to coordinate with them so that the church would switch its lights on at the moment the moon would «touch» it as it set over the village, but what happened this time, without asking for anything at all, was just the opposite.
I went to take the photos for the time lapse, asuming that the church’s lighting would remain on until well after the moon had finished hiding behind the village. But no, it went off at the very moment the moon hid behind the church. It could be said that «the moon took away the light of the church«, right?
